Calling all pet owners! Our agency is now able to offer Pet Health Insurance through Safeco Insurance. The Pet Health Insurance is provided and administered by Hartville Pet Insurance Group, a member of the Crum & Foster Enterprise.
The Pet Insurance offered through Safeco is a comprehensive pet health and accident insurance policy. They are 12-month policies that are underwritten and serviced by Hartville Pet Insurance.
A Pet Insurance policy, will ensure your dog or cat has the quality care they need from routine checkups to emergency services. List of questions for a quote include: zip code, dog or cat, breed, age and gender.
Hartville Pet Insurance Group is one of the oldest and largest pet insurance providers in the United States since 1997. The Hartville brand is trusted by Liberty Mutual and Safeco. They offer a well-designed coverage plan that helps pet owners save money on their veterinary bills.
Steps include the following:
- Take your pet for treatment
- Pay your vet bill
- Submit a claim to get reimbursed
Insurance can be used for treatment at any veterinary clinic in the United States and Canada, including treatment from specialists and emergency care facilities. Reimbursement is up to 90, 80 or 70 % of your vet bill, depending on the reimbursement percentage selected at the time of purchasing the policy. Deductible’s can be either $100, $250 or $500 annually. After you meet the deductible amount you select, you won’t have to meet it again until your next 12-month plan period.
Premiums go up in price as your pet gets older. Multiple pets can be enrolled or added as every pet will have an individual policy and premium.
- Complete coverage – accidents, illnesses, cancer, hereditary conditions, behavioral issues and dental disease
- Covers exams, diagnostics, and treatments, including alternative therapies
- Freedom to use any veterinarian, specialist or emergency clinic
- All dogs and cats 8 weeks old and up are eligible
- Even older pets are covered
Limitations and exclusions include pre-existing conditions, elective procedures such as tail docking, ear cropping, and claw removal as well as costs associated with breeding or pregnancy.
An injury or illness that is cured with no symptoms or treatments for 180 days can be covered in the future.
