Company History
Based locally in Bristol and Warren, John Andrade Insurance has a long history of serving Rhode Island & Southeastern Massachusetts since 1935.
Our agency is a third generation family run business serving Rhode Island’s East Bay for over 80 years. Originally founded in 1935 by John Andrade, the agency was passed down to his son, John P. Andrade.
Today, John Andrade Insurance is owned by Mr. Andrade’s son-in-law, Mark Matrone and his wife, Jane Andrade Matrone. Mark began his insurance career as an underwriter for Travelers before joining The Hartford in the same role. In 1993, Mark joined John Andrade Insurance helping grow the business which eventually led to managing the agency as president.
Under Mark’s leadership, our agency has continued to grow and now serves the insurance needs of over 3600 individuals and families and over 1200 businesses in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and as well as other states.
We have been a leader in technology and today we have a state of the art computer system where we can access our workstation anywhere, anytime. Our management system is one of the most advanced databases in the industry. This allows us to be as efficient as possible when servicing your account in today’s fast-paced enviroment. We try to do this in a way that is suitable to you whether it be in person, on the phone or by email or text message.
