4th of July festivities coming up soon!

June 19, 2017

It’s already the middle of June and preparations have been ramped up for a while now here in Bristol as our annual Fourth of July parade is less than two weeks away. Bristol’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration, established in 1785, is the oldest continuous celebration of its kind in the United States. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and will step-off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 114) and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.

Here at John Andrade Insurance Agency, our office is located at 559 Hope Street which sits right on the parade route and offers an exceptional view. Our windows are already decorated for the 4th as part of the celebration.

Other holiday events include the Fourth of July Ball which is this Saturday, June 24th at 6 p.m. at Roger Williams University Field House. Other notable fun things are several concerts each week leading up to the parade.

The annual Drum and Bugle Corps Show is scheduled for Monday, July 3rd at 6 p.m. at Cranston’s Stebbins Stadium. This year’s fireworks display will be held on that same night at 9:30 p.m. overlooking Bristol Harbor.

Please feel free to check out all the info on Bristol’s 4th of July home page  and stop by and enjoy many of the different festivities going on the next few weeks leading up to the parade.
